Ready, Set, Go!!

∼September 19, 2011∼

All preparations for Turkey is done! Sister and I woke up early this morning and helped my grandmother at the doctors.
Both of us were frickin' exhausted because we stayed up real late. Don't ask me why I'd do that because really don't know. The only thing on the telly was Cruel Intention.. 2th&3rd and they sucked! It ended really late and the lack of sleep made us so tired. We did however managed to buy everything we were supposed to have for our trip which is great.

We bought these biotics (lactic acid bacteria...) and suncreen:

They were a perfect size of 20 tablets- just enough for two on a 7-day trip. We're eating 3 days before going and I can't chew them, but Sis says they taste alright. It tastes like fruity multivitamins. Of course we had to buy a must-have which are sunscreen and also extra tops because you get sticky in a hot weathers = change clothes often. It's crazy how expensive those sunscreens can be. We opted for a cheaper one, but with a smaller SPF-factor.

A few necessaries and I got myself a bikini:
Even though it was meant to be my bikini, it suits Sandy a lot more, so I'm wearing her neon colored bikini; it's of same style which is bandeau. The flippers are mine though, really cheap like 9DKK  (less than $2USD).

I also got a suitcase which isn't exactly mine, but I'm using it. It's pretty bright red and it got a cute muffin tag to go with it!

We didn't get to exchange money because the bank didn't carry Turkish Liras so we ordered some and we have to pick it up on Wednesday. I'm still a bit confused about how much I'm supposed to bring with me? I'm thinking of exchanging my money into two currencies: TL and EUR, just in case.
To be honest, I'm not the biggest spender or shopper, but I'm so afraid of bringing to little and that would suuuuck. I've heard there are loads of different things in Turkey so I might as well bring a bit more than less. I'm hoping to buy a lot of accessories and dresses. Maybe even stationary because I love things like that.
No matter what, I know I have space enough in my suitcase! Despite having packed most of my things, there still lots of space! The picture is just all my stuff and my sister's stuff in my suitcase..

My suitcase mostly consist of dresses or one-pieces because I tend to get hot really easily! I can't stand layers when I'm traveling to hot destinations and it's so much easier to wear dresses. I also brought like soup and noodles because I still can't eat properly yet and I don't want to starve myself in Turkey. I'd probably faint from exhaustion or starvation if I didn't bring extra food! I just hope they have like a somewhat decent hygiene in the hotel. In sister's suitcase (besides clothes) she has the more important stuff like creams, shampoo etc and also tickets and such.

A bag to hold Polaroid, passport, sunscreen, money etc. Sis bought it from H&M:

Both of us have plenty of space in our suitcase so we are going all in!

This is going to be a luxury trip! No being stingy or whatever. I really dislike when people are stingy and most of all when they are like: "No I don't want to spend too much money on food" because really? The food is the most important thing when traveling. I mean... you gotta have the right attitude when traveling! Otherwise you're just going to regret it!
So I'm all like GO GO GO.

♥

WHY?

∼September 18, 2011∼

You know those days where you just want to do nothing? Like literally bum around like a nobody at home. Why is it that when you don't want to do anything, you all of a sudden have things to do. There never seems to be a middle point!

Today I was helping out my aunt; we were supposed to take pictures of the food which she will use in her store. That's fine and all, but she was late because she actually forgot about it. It also took hours before she had made everything from the menu. Whenever someone ordered food, she would prepare it and make me/us (sandy too) take pictures of it and then send it off. The store was busier than usual which meant the chef was occupied and also people didn't always order what we needed to take pictures of. I was really bored at her store, but at least I had my laptop with her! Thank god. I'd gone crazy if I hadn't! I was hungry too, but I sort of dislike chinabox food right now and most of all I hate the curry there. Coincidentally I got curry and rice. I had to force myself to eat it. I eventually finished all the pictures, but by the time I was finished it was already late so we ended up staying late at the store (and also driving my mother home).
At soon as I came back, we hurried to take a shower because the smell of a busy chinabox house is horrible! The worst smell ever I tell ya. It's like this funky ass heavy and oil kind of smell. YUCK. After that we all ate some phở and by that time we finished our meals, it was already 10.45PM.

Now I just need a good night sleep and early tomorrow I'm accompanying my grandma to the doctors and also buying stuff for Alanya! Tuteluu biatches~

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 14

Last day of this challenge has finally come. I will not be doing this kind of thing anymore because it's just too time-consuming and I'm not a person to give up on any challenge whilst forcing me to finish it.

So yeah, I'm finally at the end of this challenge!

Day 14: - A Drama you never get tired of?

My all time favorite Drama is Square Pegs (HONG KONG) and it's one of those dramas where I watch it from the beginning to the start. I never skip any parts and I still find it funny as hell and I still cry at the sad scenes. It's one of those dramas, that I will never get tired of! I love everything about the drama! It such a wonderful drama and you can't help, but love it!

Weekend before Alanya

∼September 17, 2011∼

Yet again, I went out. I thought last week would be the last outing, but apparently not. No regrets; because it was way better than last time- like way way better. Maybe I was tired last time? Or maybe I was more comfortable this time than last time, but nonetheless I had a blast!

I went out with some girlfriends and we did this as a way to celebrate our trip to Alanya(?). We're all so ecstatic so the city = go go go! It was a Friday night and usually there are less people on Fridays than on Saturdays WHICH I LIKE. It's so annoying when there's too many people and it's hot and people are pushing you on the dance floor because they want to have the air-conditioner spot. I did something I usually don't do which is drink a lot of alcohol. I like alcohol actually, but I don't always drink a lot, but this time I did. Maybe that's why I had more fun? Regardless of my alcohol consumption we all had a blast and I'm expecting the same in Alanya! Their nightlife must be great.

Speaking of Alanya, I had some troubles with my passport and I spoke with someone from the Turkish Ambassador and she said I could travel with a stamp which prolongs my passport's expiration date! The only thing I must make sure is that the stamp makes it valid for at least 6 months after I leave Turkey. Why? I'm not sure, but I got the stamp so I'm happy. I'm no longer nervous and I'm just excited to travel now. Unfortunately we ended up paying a bit more today because we realized that we ordered train tickets with the wrong date and it's non-refundable and we had to order new tickets. Remember to always check twice! Especially when tickets are non-refundable.

Now I don't really have anything else to update and to end this post, I'll share a photo:

It's been such a long time I've smiled with my teeth showing! I have to get used to it. I hope to camwhore more! (with or without Sandy). Sandy and I used to take a lot of pictures, but it has decreased with time. Hopefully we'll take more pictures!

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 13

Day 13:

- Drama that made you cry?
© herdys
There are tons of dramas that has made me cry. Recent dramas are Baking King, Kim Tak Goo and Cinderella's Sister! Oh man, those two are so dramatic~

- A Drama that made you cry from laughter?
I don't cry from laughter....... but Protect the Boss is hella funny!

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 12

∼September 16, 2011∼

Day 12: - Name an overrated Drama? - Name an underrated Drama?

To name a few (mostly recent dramas), but yeah.

Overrated:
mostly watched it for cute IU! <3
Boys Over Flower and Dream High
- most idols specked dramas are overrated. Fan girls are so biased

Underrated:
© stinabong epic side character yong ha!
Sungkyunkwan Scandal
- many ignore this lovely drama because it is set in Joseon era (and maybe because of Yoochun?), but despite that it has a great fanbase despite it's not so high ratings.

In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 11

Day 11:
- A Drama you looked forward to but disappointed you in the end?
Not looked super much forward too, but I'm thinking ToGetHer with Rainie and Jiro. Oh fuck. It looked great and started great, but it just became worse by the episodes. I usually love those kind of dramas and I love Rainie, but this one wasn't as good as I expected. I just disliked the characters and I just wanted to slap them all silly! At first I thought it was because of Jiro? Every recent drama he's in (except Hana Kimi) has low ratings, but too be honest I disliked Rainie's character the most.

***
- Drama with the best ending in your opinion?
Hana Yori Dango? Full HouseSassy Girl Chun Hyang?
Basically I love happy and non rushed endings- they are the best!  I don't like endings where I'm e.g rooting for the side character and she ends up with the main character-it's very different on how I want my happy ending to be.

***
- Drama with the worst ending in your opinion?
I don't quite remember all dramas right now, but Goong had a pretty sucky one. I hate endings like that, seems a bit rushed. Especially where she almost threw up which means that she's maybe pregnant. I love the drama though, the ending is just dumb.

TURKEY, HERE I COME!

In precise a week I will be in Alanya, Turkey! While so many depressed Danes are stuck in shitty and mood-changing weather, I'll be enjoying this:

I'll be enjoying sun, view and food! GOOSH, it looks frickin' amazing right? I'll be chilling at the beach with sunscreen on my body while sipping a drink and baking in the sun. YEAH, this is it! It's been slow for a while now so I really need a trip and experience something new!

This is a totally spontaneous trip which was literally planned yesterday night and booked today! I'm going with my sister and two friends from my high school. It's totally weird to just book a trip like that and it's not even school-related or anything (finished hs already lol). Even though it's a week from now, I can certainly feel the adrenalin kicking in and I just can't wait. I have so many things I need to prepare now and I'm sort of stressed. I need everything to be in-check before I make this trip and I'm very sure that it might not even be possible to make this trip if it's not in-check.

First of all, I need to fix my damn passport. Damn thing is expired and has been since June. I know, some say it's stupid for not renewing it earlier, but I just had bi-jaw surgery and I did not think I'd be traveling so soon after my surgery OR so soon in general when I don't even have much money saved up. Well, yeah the passport is expired and I need to get it renewed which will cost me around 600DKK which doesn't really bother me, but it's just that I'm afraid that it's not possible for me to renew it so soon before the trip. Basically I'm not sure if they can make a brand-new passport in such a short time. I'm thinking of asking them to give me a temporary passport, but apparently I need to call the Turkish Ambassador to make sure if Turkey even accepts those. I called them and they said that I had to get a visum! At this point, I'm like wtf. I'm only staying for a week. Also they said I had to get it personally, but the thing is... I don't live near the Turkish Ambassador! I feel nervous, but I'm trying to do whatever I can, to get this passport so I can make this trip. I'm bringing some documents, pictures and what not to convince them to give me this temporary passport.

Second of all, I need to buy MEDICINE. Apparently it's quite common for tourist to get diarrhea and a stomach flu. SO I'm definitely buying some medicine to prevent this disaster that might happen.. I don't want to spend any days feeling shitty (no pun intended). Also eating some capsules of biotics (lactic acid bacteria) for prevention.

Third of all, I need to buy me a bikini~~~~~~~This is actually extremely important stuff. What I also need is to buy me self a baggage. Importantly I need money!

I don't think I need to prepare anything else. It's enough really, too much actually...I hope everything goes well; it has too!

Everything needs to be done tomorrow, so early sleep for me, but before going to sleep I'm just going to boast some more. Look at this view:
WOWSA YOU SAY? LALALA♬♬♬ I CAN'T HELP IT! IT'S GORGEOUS!

I'll be there in a week, so booyaah.. jk jk.. but really.... I am and I'm so excited which is why I'm being so obnoxious right now.
Sorry ne~

Preview of Portrait of Brother

∼September 15, 2011∼

SIBLINGS PORTRAIT AGAIN

I'm currently working on a portrait of my brother which is taking me forever BTW. I thought I could finish it today, but unfortunately no. I did however use a good four hours on the collar.. I really believed I'd finish it today and post everything, but yeah- clothes really takes a long time to draw.

I've currently used 10+ hours on this portrait and yes I'm being very throughout with this portrait (never expected to use 10+ hours though!). In the beginning I concentrated a lot on the outline which apparently makes everything more time consuming. I suddenly become a perfectionist because there aren't room for mistakes when you have a specific outline. It's time consuming, but the results are definitely better.

Up to this point, I've finished the face, hair, neck, collar. I still miss shirt and sleeves, but I'd show a .gif of a part of the beginning of the process:

The portrait is turning out great. It's amazing what pencils can do. By adding darker and lighter values it makes a HUGE difference! One minute I'm thinking: "wow I'm really bad at drawing" the next minute I'm thinking: "It finally looks like something!"

Can't wait till it's finished.

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 10

∼September 14, 2011∼

Day 10: - Your least favorite actress? - Your least favorite actor?

Can I not answer this? I don't have a least favorite actor/actress. I generally think that most actors/actresses act alright. I can't remember any actor/actresses where I just thought "truly bad acting". Sometimes I dislike the actors/actresses because of the way they look or how they speak or how their voice sounds. I'm not very picky when it comes to dramas. I also appreciate "pretty" or at least decent-looking actors- it sounds a bit shallow, but the dramas I usually watch are fluffy and I appreciate cute individuals to look at, but if they're too pretty I really don't like it. Like I can't concentrate on the drama because I can see that the person is too concerned with their mimic.

If I had to choose one, I'd say Kim Tae-hee. She's not the best actress, but not the worst either. I just don't like to watch her in dramas. She's lovely in CF though, but I don't particularly fancy her in dramas.

Also sometimes I don't like a drama because of it's cast; like if it's too idol-specked.

I see that I'm very vague in my answer and I didn't answer the question properly
Difficult questions....

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 9

Day 09: - Name a Drama you dropped, and why? - Your favorite Drama genre? - Your favorite Drama OST (Instrumental)?

- The most recent drama I dropped was 'Lie To Me'.
(I can't even believe I'm making graphics for a drama I've dropped!)

I dropped it because everything happened too slow yet too fast. There were no development in the story, kisses came too fast and characters were all over the place. I had no idea what they are trying to do with the show. The script is badly written and it's so full with cliches that it made me feel uncomfortable. I'm not a picky person when it comes to dramas, but this was just not me. And I usually adore contract-dramas, I swear! and I even love a arrogant main lead! But I had no feelings for the characters even though I loved how the plot sounded! Plot sounded good, but the drama itself was not nearly as good.
I like the actors and I was excited because I thought this would be great with Eun Hye and all, but the drama didn't deliver. I actually didn't even like the romance between the two main leads (I'm one of the few) and I was rooting for the side character Sang-hee! I mean that's a sign that I was not feeling the drama.
The only reason why I would want to re-watch the drama would be because of Sung Joon (the side character Sang-hee). Tall, handsome and husky voice. Deliciousness!  I hope to see him in another drama! and actually getting the girl!

- My favorite Drama genre is romcom!  I adore romcoms!
I just love fluff. I get butterflies in the stomach and I adore cliffhangers that involves sudden kisses (only if I have the next episode)! With romcoms, cliches are UNAVOIDABLE, but if it's done in a creative way I don't mind cliches. I like sweet, fluffy and funny plots. I'm all for fluff and cute moments.

© stinabong
I also love love love genderbender dramas (also manga, book etc). This sorta is implied with genderbenders, but I love bromance and characters struggling with their "homosexuality". Also contract-dramas and crazy slightly "sick" and perfectionist characters as leads. Playboy-turns-good genre.

Hm, am I forgetting something? Basically I'd watch anything that's no sad, action and too melodramatic.

- As for OST.. I don't really notice instrumentals that much. At least not consciously.. Maybe Goong?   I remember they had some good tunes? I don't know really.

Going out— sure is...

∼September 13, 2011∼

4 weeks post-op  where's my v-line? swelling go away!

— Tiring! I went out Friday and Saturday and Sunday I was at my aunts house. I'm exhausted. I couldn't sleep last night and had to wake up early this morning. I think I had like 3 hours of sleep- I just kept rolling around and switching sleeping places. My head was spinning around with all sorts of random thoughts which made it even harder to sleep! I think I might have insomnia like Momma. Or not. I've just been sleeping in the worst possible hours and it's really affecting my internal clock  !

So yea, after three extremely exhausting days, I'm finally just laying in my bed and chilling with a bunch of oldie HK series like 'Bet on Best Bet'. Tomorrow will be more productive! Exercising, exercising and exercising! I also want to finish the portrait of my brother! It's turning out really great so I look forward to posting it!

BTW. I'm thinking of cutting my hair. I'm thinking waves to soften my face (I'm hoping my aunt will digiperm my hair) or just long hair with layers in the front. I want volume!!!!! I'm feeling a bit chubby in the face now, but when the swelling goes away, my square shaped face will be more apparent.. that's why I want some volume to soften it up.

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 8

Day 08: - Your favorite Drama character?

Right now I seriously obsessed with Protect The Boss so I'd say:

Cha Ji Heon, No Eun Seul and Cha Moo Won.
© kimberlyrad
I love the cast of this drama. It's filled with flawed characters, but that's what makes it so great. Ji Heon is great because he's someone who's not afraid to express affection and I love characters who's anti-germs, but overcomes it for their loved ones. He's also a dork too~ No Eun Seul is nice because she's a strong spirited girl and someone who doesn't cry easily and breaks down easily. Her personality is also very stable and she stands her ground. Someone who knows how to throw a punch is great too! As for Cha Moo Won, he's just adorable mostly when together with Ji Heon. Bromance is so nice~

Sungkyunkwan Scandal's Moon Jae Shin and Gu Yong Ha.
© stinabong
I'M OBSESSED WITH THOSE TWO. Mostly Yong Ha, but together it's totally amazing. YONG HA IS SO FRICKIN AMAZING and I love his playfulness. I'm not going to deny this, but I adore bromance or any hints of it- Also both characters are pretty flawed. For a side characters it's always nice with players- they are forever refreshing. I loved them so much and was so sad when none of them paired up.

Sassy Girl Chun Hyang's Lee Mong Ryong
He's such a sweetheart. In the beginning you just want to smack him for being so stupid and acting so wannabe-cool, but because he's a 'One-woman' kind of guy- he quickly became endearing! Even to the end, he still remained faithful!

She's Nineteen's three main characters; Yoo Min, Seung Jae and Min Jae
I loved the chemistry between these character. All had very strong and different characters and they also had kind personalities. Wonderful really.

Coffee Prince's Choi Han Kyul
He was a jerk in the beginning- but I thought it was funny. I loved how he embraced the whole experience with Eun Chan. I was really heartbroken by how he struggled with his "homosexuality".
I’ll say this just once so listen up. I like you. Whether you’re a man or an alien, I don’t care anymore. I tried to get rid of my feelings, but I couldn’t. So, let’s go as far as we can go. Let’s give it a try.
He's the perfect character.

Sung Joon is Intense!

This is really perfection. I'm sure this will be my desktop sometime in the future!
So my next desktop will be:

I'm not dropping Song Joong-ki yet. He's perfection too.

Remembering 9/11

∼September 12, 2011∼

Important date in American history. Ten years after September 11th. 2977 individuals lost their lives.

***

Where was I? On 9/11 I was 8 years old. First of all, I was a only kid and I barely understood anything. Let alone something that happened in another country. I don't recall anything from the 9/11-event. I might have been home and even sound asleep in my bed. I don't even recall seeing it on the news or talking to anyone about it. I have no memory of me saying anything about the event. I remember people summing about it; kids talking bits about it; but nothing I thought was out of the extraordinary. As I grew up I learned about history and then came to realize that the event had a big impact on Americans and the World.

If we're talking about the impact on me; I have to be honest and say that the event did/does not affect me. Maybe it's because I'm not American thus I don't feel the patriotism (I do however know the feeling because of the recent Norway terror attacks). Even though it doesn't affect me, I feel bad for those who died and those who lost their loved ones.
— It's a date none will forget, especially America.

I came into my class like any other day.
I did my work like any other day.
How was I to know, at such a young age, that so many would die?

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 7

∼September 11, 2011∼

Day 07: - Your favorite actor? - Your favorite actress?

Based on dramas, I'd say:
Kim Jae Won

 &
Hyun Bin

They are both very strong actors and I will watch anything with them. Unless it's sad stories or maybe I should watch to 'Can You Hear My Heart'? I really don't like sad stories anymore.

If we counted movies too, I'd say Cha Tae-hyun.

As for favorite actresses, I'd say:
Jung Da Bin

&
  Moon Geun Young

I love these two actresses. Very stable actresses who always delivers. I like that they aren't typically pretty like so many actresses. I can't seem to focus on the story and acting when the person is just too pretty. It's really weird to see that MGY doesn't portray little girls roles anymore, but more womanly roles. It's really great to see that now.

Another person who sorta reminds me of MGY and the person I really look forward to see more of or perhaps in a drama is Park Bo Young.
I really like how she looks and how her voice sounds. (by voice I don't mean singing, just voice)

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 6

Day 06: - The last Asian Drama you’ve seen? - What Drama are you currently watching?

The last Drama I remember finishing was 49 Days. I did not like the ending!
I loved the cast, but the story is a little too sad for my taste.

Currently watching the wonderful Protect The Boss.
I have nothing, but praises for this drama. I simply love it and it's becoming one of my favorite dramas.

Asian Party Something Something

∼September 10, 2011∼

I've just got home from a party and it was really fun.
Excruciating awkward (for me) at times because this is my first time going to a part after my jaw surgery. I was feeling a bit fresh, but nervous because what if someone decides to pop me one in the jaw or somehow my jaw just collapses? I tried to be careful so everything went well and I had fun. I just thought that it's too bad the atmosphere in the club was a bit tense. I don't know exactly why, but Asian parties are always so tense compared to regular. Like you also need to be a bit cautious to these parties, otherwise people will badmouth one. I mean, it sounds silly, but it's partially true. I really feel like it's a huge gossip fest, but of course most people are just there to have fun. (I guess old people too because I sure saw a lot of those individuals)

Also something I've learned from this party is that some people are fun and some people are just plain boring. If you're bored, try to make yourself feel better. Don't expect the party to bring you into the mood, you yourself is responsible for your own fun. A party is no fun without people wanting or trying to have fun.

That's it for today. I'm going to sleep and tomorrow awaits yet another night like this! I hope I have enough energy to survive another night trip!

Quick camwhore from 3 weeks post-op :-)

I'm tiiiiiiiired now--going to sleep. CYA

14 Day Asian Drama Challenge: Day 5

Day 05: - Your favorite Drama insert song? - Your favorite Drama opening? - Your favorite Drama ending?
I don't think Kdramas have openings? Only Taiwanese and Japanese. Or maybe it's just me who doesn't remember what's an insert-, opening- and ending-song.

It's not often I think the songs in the dramas are bad (and sometimes I don't really notice the OST, unless it's really moving!), but here's a compilation of my favorite (not instrumental) OST's. I wonder if I have forgotten any?

ENJOY the playlist! it's long!
